Defend a homeworld, then a solar system, then a galaxy.
Tap an orbital slot to build a defence, tap a built defence to upgrade or sell it. Enemies arrive in waves along the marked approach; anything that reaches your world costs you integrity. The in-game HELP screen covers the full rules, and CODEX holds a dossier on every enemy you have encountered.
Progress is stored on the device. It survives updates, but deleting the app deletes it. If you have iCloud enabled for Cosmic Ascent, your record follows your Apple Account to your other devices; the most recently played device wins if two of them disagree.
The game pauses itself when it goes to the background, and the campaign keeps a checkpoint at the start of each wave — so an interruption costs you at most the wave in progress, never the run. Choose CONTINUE from the main menu to pick it back up.
Yes — all three are separate switches on the pause screen. Haptics also follow the system's Reduce Motion setting automatically.
Difficulty is selectable before a run and changes enemy toughness and the economy, not just the numbers on screen. Ascension points earned in one run permanently strengthen the next, so an early loss is not wasted.
The game honours Reduce Motion (screen shake, heavy particle effects and haptics are suppressed) and runs entirely on tap input with no timed gestures.
Main menu → REMOVE ADS. It is a single one-time purchase — no subscription — and it covers all your devices through your Apple Account. Ads only ever appear between runs, never during play.
Open REMOVE ADS → RESTORE PURCHASE while online. That re-checks the purchase with Apple and switches ads off; you are never charged twice for a non-consumable purchase. If a restore fails repeatedly, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that bought it, then email us.
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form is required before ads can be shown. You can change your choice any time under REMOVE ADS → AD PRIVACY OPTIONS — or make the question moot by removing ads.
No accounts, no analytics, no cross-app tracking; the free version's ads are the only network traffic, and the purchase removes them. Full details in the privacy policy.
